:( havent been posting for a darn long time because I was sick for a while, then CNY prep. but yeaaa first day of CNY’s over and so I’m back on the net! haha I have a feeling I should be updating more but frankly I think its incredible how teenagers in general seem to have an inscrutable ability to be (seemingly) online 24/7 facebooking, blogging, heck - even reading news updates online. …Just the other day, I caught my niece watching Obama’s inauguration ceremony online, which is like wow. technology has really come far since…well. my days? haha oops.

anyway, reading the newspapers today (I still prefer the print medium over scrolling down webpages thankyouverymuch), I was rather amused to see how the french government is trying to work out an arrangement to save the french newspapers. a la giving every single youth free subscription to a newspaper of their choice. must be pretty cool, to be a french youth. but then again, I suppose that if I were a french youth, I’d probably not be interested in reading the newspapers. I just hope that they at least try to read the newspapers and not just dump them away, which would be such a waste of paper sigh. maybe reading’s a cultivated habit - I grew up devouring books; now, even with work commitments and all, I still read voraciously during weekends or holidays.

on a utterly tangential note, MY GOD sorry little nyonya fans out there but I absolutely detest that serial. sure the set is pretty cool and I understand that there are certain restrictions to representing the Peranakan culture exactly as it is on tv, but…couldnt the actors be better? specifically the lead actress. whom I strongly believe has a total of what- 3 expressions? (blank, small frown which I believe stands for angry/sad/etc, small smile) … but okay to cut it short, basically I was horrified that my relatives were eagerly watching the little nyonya reunion thing. although it is a logical follow-up to CNY and the popularity of the little nyonya.

…I just wish that tv viewers would be more discerning in what they watch. although its really not my place to say such stuff.

In other news, I believe Ep4 of Cosmo and George is screening tomorrow night at 8pm on OKTO. I think this episode revolves around Cosmo(and Ye Ye) dating or Cosmo and George Lying. oh wait. I think they’re both in the same episode. haha oops feels like a lifetime since I screened it for work. This episode is pretty funny though, definitely worth a watch!
